Aims and Scope

The aim of the Tribology in Industry journal is to publish high-quality experimental and theoretical research papers in the fields of the science of friction, wear, and lubrication, as well as any closely related fields.

The scope includes all aspects of materials science, surface science, applied physics, and mechanical engineering that are directly relevant to the subjects of friction, wear, and lubrication.

Topical areas include, but are not limited to:

   • Friction
   • Wear
   • Lubrication
   • Surface characterization
   • Surface engineering
   • Nanotribology
   • Contact mechanics
   • Wear-resistant materials
   • Coatings
   • Alloys
   • Composites
   • Tribology of friction pairs
   • Tribological design
